The Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Mendikbudristek), Nadiem Anwar Makarim conveyed the importance of linkages between the education sector and the economy. According to him, the two sectors are integrated and complementary.
“Quality education will produce graduates who are creative and able to process economic resources that will prosper the community. A prosperous society is able to get a quality education," said Nadiem during the peak of the Proudly Made in Indonesia National Movement (Gernas BBI) #AromaMaluku in Ambon, Maluku (29/11).
Nadiem is committed to continuing to strengthen cooperation between education units and the business and industrial world which has been implemented through the Center for Excellence Vocational Vocational School Program, Merdeka Vocational Campus, and Merdeka Campus.
This is a form of the Gernas BBI #AromaMaluku initiative which synergizes as an effort to realize equitable and sustainable economic strengthening.
"The results of this collaboration are extraordinary. Through the Kedaireka platform, we recorded a total contribution of the project industry with campuses and companies of more than Rp. 1.1 trillion. This contribution strengthens the research ecosystem in the scope of education and student innovation," he explained.
Furthermore, he reminded that barriers need to be accompanied by transformation, such as being able to introduce Maluku's works to the wider public through e-commerce media.
Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan also expressed his appreciation to the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves). According to him, Merdeka Learning has become a solution between education and the industrial world.
"I also hope that the work of vocational education can be utilized by domestic industries, including ministries, institutions, and local governments," he said.
