What is the target of Tahsin- Tahfizh?

For Tahsin, we use the Baligho series which were developed by Hj. Ummi Rif’ah binti KH. Ishaq Khatib. (Her sanad from Rasulullah Muhammad SAW is 32). Students learn how to read Al Qur’an with good tajwid and ghorib.

For Tahfizh, students will follow a moderate training system. They are expected to memorize Juz 30 of the Holy Qur’an by the end of grade 6. Each student progresses at a different pace.

My child has memorized some surahs well, will she repeat from the beginning or she can just continue her practice with the following surahs?

Tahsin- Tahfizh team will do the placement test during the orientation week (before the school starts). Everyone will start with Baligho 1. If students can finish the book fast and pass the Baligho test, they can directly continue to book 2 and so on. For those who have memorized some surahs, the team will check the tajwid and the recitation and students may memorize at their own pace.

What is the difference between Iqro and Baligho?

They are more or less the same as both Tahsin books teach children how to read Qur’an. The difference is the technique of teaching it. For the Tahfizh, Baligho uses specific rhyme in order to memorize well.

Are the teachers of Tahsin- Tahfizh capable of teaching?

The head of the team is Ms. Izzah. She is a hafizhah of 30 Juzes. Mr Yusri 30, Mr Habibi 25 Juz and other teachers are those who memorized below 25 Juzes under Ms Izzah’s supervision.

What kind of Islam does Khalifa IMS practice?

Islamic Frame
Sesungguhnya agama (yang diridhai) disisi Allah hanyalah Islam. Tiada
Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them – out of jealous animosity between themselves. And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah, then indeed, Allah is swift in [taking] account. Qs.
Islam is the only bleesed religion by Allah SWT. Islam derives from the word ‘aslama’ that means safe/peace. Therefore, we want to practice Islam that can become rahmatan lil’alamin.
Islam uses AL Qur’an and Al Hadist and as the laws and hujjah, Islam has ushuliyah and furu’iyah. Aas an Islamic school we listen we obey. We view Al Qur’an and Al Hadiths moderately in educating kaffah mukmin, in order to be ummatan wasatho and syuhada, as is said in Al Qur’an.
Qs. Al Baqoroh 143.
And thus we have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you. And We did not make the qiblah which you used to face except that We might make evident who would follow the Messenger from who would turn back on his heels. And indeed, it is difficult except for those whom Allah has guided. And never would Allah have caused you to lose your faith. Indeed Allah is, to the people, Kind and Merciful. Qs. Al Baqaroh 143.”
